OPP Canine Unit helps apprehend suspect

Lambton OPP say its Canine Unit helped track down a suspicious person at a rural property on Zion Line Monday night.

Officers were called to the area at around 9:15 p.m., and police said the vehicle the suspect had arrived in had been reported stolen.

The accused's location was found by the canine, and the man was arrested without further incident.

A 42-year-old man from Lambton Shores is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, trespassing at night and, break and enter.

The accused was held pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
