Various stolen items recovered in Sarnia

Several power tools and other items have been recovered from a stolen trailer found in Sarnia.

Officers were called on November 23 to an area of Alfred Street about a suspicious flatbed trailer parked "in an odd manner" on the street.

Police said the trailer was reported stolen from Middlesex County and the loaded items were believed to have been stolen as well.

During this time, a white pickup truck was seen slowly driving in the area. Police tried to stop the pickup but it sped off and officers did not pursue due to public safety concerns.

At this time, police are trying to locate the owners of the recovered items. Several photos of the items were posted to the police service's Facebook page.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to contact police at 519-344-8861 extension 6239 or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
