The Barrie Colts beat the Sarnia Sting in overtime Sunday during the 25th annual Teddy Bear Toss Game.
Sasha Pastujov scored the first goal for the Sting at 17:33 of the second period and the sold-out crowd at Progressive Auto Sales Arena tossed 4,228 stuffed teddy bears and other critters onto the ice, which will be distributed to kids in need this holiday season.
"Yeah it's pretty cool," said Pastujov. "Something different for sure, but it's something cool to do around the holiday season and for a good cause to get all those bears out on the ice. It was cool. It's a little unique but it was fun to see how many bears that came out."

The Sting's Ty Voit tied the game with a goal at 9:03 in the third period.
Connor Punnett with 25 seconds left in overtime on a power play was the difference as the Barrie Colts (11-9-2-1) beat the Sarnia Sting (13-8-4-2) 3-2.
Making his second straight start in net for Sarnia, Nicholas Surzycia stopped 39 of 42 shots.
"Tonight I think I played great, I left it all out there," said Surzycia. "Honestly, the game could have gone either way. "Anson (Thornton) on the other team played great too, so yeah it could have gone either way but today we played great."
The Sarnia Sting are home to the Flint Firebirds on Friday, December 9.
