Blizzard warning issued for Sarnia-Lambton

Environment Canada has issued a blizzard warning for Sarnia-Lambton.

The agency said people in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.

Forecasters expect the blizzard conditions to continue into Saturday, making travel extremely difficult to impossible. It is not advised.

Wind gusts up to 100 kilometres an hour and utility outages are possible.

Wind chill values near minus 30 and 15 centimetres of snow is possible in some areas.

Environment Canada expects the snow to taper to flurries Saturday morning, but the very cold wind chill values will persist into the weekend.
