Finch Auto Group 'excited' for Lambton Ford takeover

The new managing partner of the former Lambton Ford says it'll be business as usual at the dealership to start off.

Finch Auto Group took over ownership of the business from Rob Ravensberg as of March 1, and rebranded it as Finch Ford Lincoln.

Mark Guy said they're excited to be expanding into the Sarnia-Lambton region following success in the London and GTA areas.

"Expanding this way has been something that President Ryan Finch has been looking to do for a while," said Guy. "We had a great opportunity to purchase Lambton Ford from Rob Ravensberg and it's such an established dealership that it was a no-brainer for us."

Guy said staffing levels will remain the same, and he looks forward to expanding upon the great charitable work that Ravensberg and the dealership are known for.

"The Finch Auto Group, over the past 15 months, has done a campaign in the London area called 'Match My Donation'," said Guy. "We've been able to raise over $2.6 million for local charities and we're going to expand that into the Sarnia-Lambton region. We'll also stay involved in some of the great causes that Rob and his team were already involved in."

Some notable charitable causes include the Teddy Bear Toss, in partnership with Blackburn Media, Noelle's Gift, Sarnia Street Machines, Sarnia Kinsmen and Habitat For Humanity.

Guy said for a lot of dealerships it remains a challenge to get inventory due to microchip issues and parts and shipping delays.

"If you're looking to get a new or used vehicle, come in early," he said. "Put yourself in a position where you can build exactly what you want and then know that there will likely be a couple of months wait before we can get the inventory."

The dealership is located at the corner of Indian Road and Confederation Street in Sarnia.
