The city is moving ahead with the installation of a SARNIA sign along the waterfront.
Council approved an updated letter design by Spectra Advertising during its meeting on Monday.
An online survey earlier this month found 50 per cent of respondents supported the proposed location at Centennial Park, while 42 per cent said no.

The six-foot-tall illuminated sign spelling out the city's name is part of the Downtown Waterfront Master Plan. Imperial Oil will provide $55,000 in grant money towards the estimated $131,759 cost.
Council also approved a concept design for a new entrance sign on the 402 and 15 secondary signs to be installed at various entrance locations throughout the city, with an estimated cost of $129,926.
During 2022 budget talks, $225,000 of capital funding was allocated to implement the entrance signage strategy.
