Bluewater Health, in consultation with Lambton Public Health, has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the Cognitively Complex Continuing Care [CCCOG] unit in Sarnia.

The hospital said in a news release Friday afternoon that under five patients were confirmed positive and no staff infections related to the outbreak have been identified at this time.

Currently, one designated visitor is still being permitted per CCCOG patient.

Visitors/care partners will be required to monitor daily for symptoms, and wear required personal protective equipment [PPE] when present on the unit.
