Over 100 curlers hit the ice over the weekend for the return of the Sarnia Oil-Chem Bonspiel.

The 48th annual event, held from Sarnia Golf & Curling Club, featured 32 teams including four from Michigan, one from Nanticoke and 27 from Sarnia-Lambton.

Brian Scott's team took home top spot overall, Tanner Nathan's squad captured the second event title, and the third event honours went to team Les Shane.

Other team winners included Rob Menzies, Ole Kihle, Ryan Hicks, Paul McMurtrie and John Wilson.

The event marked the first Oil-Chem Bonspiel since 2020. It was first held in Petrolia in 1973.
