Sting edge Knights 3-2

The Sarnia Sting kicked off an important stretch of games Friday with a 3-2 win over the London Knights.

The Knights got off to a strong start during the first five minutes, but Brett Brochu surrendered the opening goal to Luca Del Bel Belluz on Sarnia’s first shot of the game.

Nolan Burke scored his team-leading 36th goal on a power play in the second period.

Sasha Pastujov followed up on another power play for a 3-1 lead. He also helped assist Burke’s goal.

 

 

Sarnia is back in action Saturday night for a home game against the Knights.  The game can be heard on CHOK (103.9 FM/1070 AM) starting at 6:30 p.m.

Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
