LPH reports COVID death toll now at 174

There has been another local death related to COVID-19.

Lambton Public Health said the death toll has risen to 174. An individual in their 80s died in hospital.

The health unit reported 27 new lab confirmed cases of the virus in its weekly update, for a total of 14,877 since the start of the pandemic just under three years ago.

The average number of positive cases per day has dropped to three.

There are no COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health.
