Crash takes out hydro pole, knocks out power

Sarnia police responded to the scene of a serious single motor-vehicle crash Monday morning.

It happened on Lakeshore Road between Colborne Road and Indian Road before 6 a.m.

Police said a car slammed into a hydro pole. Four people were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area while the scene was cleared, and Bluewater Power made necessary repairs to the snapped pole and power lines.

About 800 Bluewater Power customers in the area were briefly without power due to the crash.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
