Sarnia man charged with impaired at border crossing

Lambton OPP say a 46-year-old Sarnia man is charged with impaired driving after police were called to the Blue Water Bridge last week.

Police were contacted by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) at around 3:30 a.m. Friday about a driver attempting to re-enter Canada.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody after being given a roadside screening test. He was later charged with impaired driving.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in provincial court at a later date.
