Lambton College is celebrating a major campus update and renovation that has enhanced life for its students in Mississauga.
President and CEO Rob Kardas said they always strive to improve the student experience both inside and outside the classroom, and are grateful for the investment.
"Queen's College is a private college in Toronto and we've been partnered with them in international education since 2016," said Kardas. "We had about 3,000 students there in the fall of 2022, and it's a relationship where we license our curriculum to them."
Kardas said they've really created a welcoming, supportive, and world-class learning environment for Lambton's students.
"Queen's has made a significant investment where they've added about 14,000 square feet to their facility. That includes two new wellness rooms that are essential for supporting students, along with a professional consultation room for mental health support. They've [also] added a fitness room, which is awesome for students, because we know it's really important for their physical health and mental health, and they've really expanded their library space. Which obviously is a core component to a great education."
The Mississauga renovations followed previous facility upgrades for Lambton students at Cestar College in Toronto.
"The public/private partnerships really built on relationships that we had in China and continue to have in China with Jilin University," said Kardas. "A Lambton education is now very global."
