Officers responded to an area behind the former SCITS high school on Wellington Street just before 3 a.m. on Saturday.
Police said a green 2018 Kia Sedona was located engulfed in flames.
Sarnia Fire and Rescue attended the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.
Police said the fire has been deemed suspicious.
No injuries were reported.
Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
