Police investigate alleged stolen vehicle crash

Sarnia police are investigating a crash involving a stolen vehicle in the city's southwest end early Saturday afternoon.

Officials with the Sarnia Police Service sent out a tweet shortly before 1 p.m. that officers are probing a single-vehicle crash in the area of Confederation and Christina streets.

Police say the vehicle, which crashed into a hydro pole, had been reported stolen.

The driver reportedly took off from the scene.

No other details about the accused's description are available. Police blocked off the area while the investigation continues.
