Large cruise ship sails under Blue Water Bridge at midnight

A large cruise ship made its inaugural trip under the Blue Water Bridge at exactly midnight on Monday.

The Hanseatic Inspiration, a 456-foot ship, left Toronto on May 19 before making its way through the St. Clair River overnight. It will arrive at its final destination in Milwaukee, Wisconsin May 30.

The ship, from Germany's Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, has a crew of 170 and can accommodate 230 guests in 120 cabins. It hit the waterways in 2019.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
