Four Sting named to OHL All-Star teams

Four Sarnia Sting were named to the OHL's 2022-23 All-Star teams.

Three of the four were named to the Second Team, including forwards Ty Voit and Sasha Pastujov and defenceman Ethan Del Mastro. The Third Team included fellow Sting defenceman Christian Kyrou.

Voit finished second in league-scoring with 105 points, tallying 24 goals and 81 assists. The Maple Leafs prospect added another three goals and 13 assists in 16 postseason games.

Pastujov was fourth in the OHL in points with 98 on the season -- 41 goals and 57 assists.  He also led the Sting in scoring during the postseason with six goals and 13 assists in 16 games.

Del Mastro scored seven goals and added 52 assists in 52 games between Sarnia and Mississauga, and added another 10 assists in the playoffs. Del Mastro was an alternate captain for Team Canada's gold-medal-winning team at this year's World Juniors.

Kyrou was second among defenceman in league-scoring with 77 points -- 20 goals and 57 assists  in 64 games.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
