Large stone thrown through van's windshield

A Lambton County man was uninjured after a large stone was thrown through his windshield on River Road Monday morning.

Taya Cardwell-Vye said her husband, Chris, was headed from Corunna to Sarnia at around 8:30 a.m.

Just as he approached a taco stand, he noticed a man standing on the shoulder of the road. When Chris went to drive around him, the man picked up a large stone and threw it at their family van, smashing the front windshield.

Police were contacted but were unable to locate the suspect.

Taya said the cost to replace the windshield is $420.
