Former Brooke-Alvinston Mayor among 2023 Ag Hall of Fame inductees

The former mayor of Brooke-Alvinston is one of five individuals being inducted into the 2023 Lambton Agricultural Hall of Fame.

Don McGugan, who served as mayor for 16 years, and his wife Anne are being recognized during a special Zoom presentation Friday, June 16.

Don worked at Dow Chemical for 34 years, while also farming, and served as president of the Lambton Federation of Agriculture back in 2000 and 2001.

Because of his limited eyesight, Anne has been close by for decades assisting Don with reading and driving him to meetings and events.

George and Agnes Dickenson, and Jim Johnson are also being inducted.

A reception will be held for the individuals at the Oil Museum of Canada on Saturday, July 22.
