Knife-wielding suspect robs Sarnia convenience store

Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers is appealing to the public for help in identifying a robbery suspect.

Circle K, located at 59 Finch Dr. in Sarnia, was robbed at knifepoint at approximately 3:30 a.m. on June 15.

The suspect picked out over $200 worth of food items that were scanned by the store clerk. A Crime of the Week media release said the suspect then pulled a knife from his pocket and pointed it at the employee.

He reportedly demanded cash from the till and removed bills and coins before he fled north from the area.

The suspect took off with an undisclosed amount of money and the food items that were on the counter.

The suspect was described as being a tall man, with a thin build and light skin.

He was wearing brown shoes, black pants, a black puffy style winter coat with the hood up, a white toque, and a bandana over his face.
