Petrolia Art in the Park celebrates biggest event ever

Over 60 vendors will be set up at Victoria Park for Art in the Park in Petrolia.

The two day event runs Friday, July 7 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 8.

Spokesperson Barb Prescott said it's their largest event yet.

"We have 64 artists this year, the biggest number we've ever had," said Prescott. "Different on Friday and Saturday. We've got lots of jewellery, pottery, stained glass, paintings, dolls clothes, dog attire, metal work, tie-dye, all sorts of things."

Spokesperson Carol Graham said there will also be a tie-dye booth, demonstrations, live music and the Petrolia SINGS! Youth Competition.

"If there's any youngsters out there between the ages of five and 19 who want to go and compete it's a great event on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.," said Graham. "Applications are right on our website so they can pull them off there."

Admission to Art in the Park is free.
