Sarnia police are investigating a number of break-ins to lockers at a Sarnia storage facility.
Police determined that the suspects gained entry to the UHAUL facility located at 1513 Old London Road several times between August 11 and August 17. Surveillance footage showed that they used a grey 4-door Ford Escape and accessed several storage lockers during that time.
Police said they are working with UHAUL and the facility's customers to determine what may have been taken.
At around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, a Sarnia police officer was on patrol in the area of the storage facility when he saw the suspected vehicle on the property.
"The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, the vehicle began to flee from the officer and a police pursuit ensued," police said.
The SUV reportedly sped excessively down London Line, causing the officer to stop his pursuit in the interest of public safety.
The Sarnia Police Service is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects and/or the suspect vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to the Criminal Investigation Division at 519-344-8861 extension 5300 or Crime Stoppers at 519-332-TIPS (8477).
