Late night fire at Bridgeview Marina (GALLERY)

The cause of a boat fire remains under investigation.

At approximately 11:15 p.m. Saturday, a boat was engulfed in flames at Bridgeview Marina.

Point Edward Fire and Rescue crews found a 42-foot motorboat fully consumed by fire. Large flames, thick black smoke, and a single explosion were also reported.

Crews remained on-site to ensure no hot spots posed further danger.

The boat owners were treated by Lambton EMS at the scene for minor injuries sustained during the incident. No other injuries were reported.
