Chamber links challenge welcomes networking on the greens

Sarnia-Lambton business leaders will be trading in their laptops for golf clubs for Thursday's Chamber of Commerce golf tournament.

CEO Carrie McEachran said the tournament, which will be held at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, is a way to help the non-profit offset some of its operating costs.

"So we continue delivering advocacy for our members and the wider business community," she said. "And also offer the opportunity for businesses to be out on the course and do some networking with each other."

The event, which begins at 11:15 a.m., features a luncheon, a 1 p.m. shotgun start, and a dinner and a reception afterwards.

McEachran said there are also some great prizes are up for grabs.

"We have three hole-in-ones with chances to win vehicles from Bayview Chrysler, Lambton Kia and Finch Ford Lincoln. There's prizes for the best team, closest to the pin, middle of the fairway longest drive, and even for new golfers like myself, there's prizes for them as well."
