Dream home lottery features largest prize board to date

This year's Bluewater Health Foundation (BWHF) Dream Home Lottery features the largest prize board in the history of the 29 year campaign.

There are nearly 11,000 prizes up for grabs, valued at just over $1.68 million dollars.

Database and Lottery Coordinator Tabitha Brinn said tickets for the fundraiser officially went on sale at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 7.

"Prizes include, obviously, our dream home which is valued at over $1.2 million and comes fully furnished," said Brinn. "We also have a brand new BMW, a luxe all inclusive Sandals dream vacation, an Explore Ontario package, and tons of gift cards and cash prizes."

Brinn said thanks to the generosity of the community, they've been able to raise $9 million over the past 28 years, with proceeds benefiting Bluewater Health's Sarnia and Petrolia hospitals.

"When you purchase a Dream Home Lottery ticket, you're directly supporting local healthcare, it's really a win-win for everyone," she said. "This year, we're aiming to raise about $500,000 and a portion of those proceeds will be going toward the redevelopment of the cancer care clinic right here at Bluewater Health."

Brinn said this year's dream home is located in the beautiful Blue Coast Heights neighbourhood in Plympton-Wyoming.

"This year's home is a three bedroom, two and a half bathroom bungalow," she said. "It's nestled in that highly sought after lakefront community. It's surrounded by lush, protected woodland and nature trails. You have a private sandy beach just steps from your front door. It's very amazing, I think everyone is going to be pleased to see this year's home."

Brinn encourages everyone to buy their tickets before October 11 so that they're eligible for the early bird draws.

To buy tickets, go to www.bwhfdreamhome.com, call 1-844-667-3151, or stop by Lambton Mall every Saturday from September 16 to October 8.

More details about open houses will be released at a later date.
