OPP still investigating July assault in Grand Bend

Lambton OPP continue to investigate an early summer assault that sent a good Samaritan to hospital.

Police said at around 2:40 a.m. on July 2, a man in his late 50s was trying to break up a fight in a parking lot on Ontario Street when he became the target of the suspect's aggression.

Cst. Jamie Bydeley said the victim sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized for some time. There was no relation between the suspect and the victim.

On Wednesday, police released a photo of the alleged suspect on social media. He was wearing a black t-shirt and light grey pants at the time of the assault.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
