Petrolia Fall Fair kicks off Lambton's 2023 fair season

The first Lambton County fair of the 2023 season is set for this weekend, and it's a sure sign that fall is just around the corner.

The annual Petrolia and Enniskillen Fall Fair runs from Friday evening through Sunday at the fairgrounds.

Friday marks the return of the popular midway, which wasn't there last year, and there are opening ceremonies planned at the Greenwood Rec Centre at 7 p.m.

There will also be exhibits on display, as well as a tractor pull, beer gardens, and a performance by the Elite Star Dance Academy.

This year's theme is Superheroes in Agriculture, and the kids are encouraged to dress up for Friday's costume contest.

On Saturday, there will be exhibits on display starting at 8:30 a.m.

The day also includes a parade, crafts, wrestling performances, baby and sheep shows, the antique tractor pull, and Bob Cates' comedy show.

Sunday's highlights include the demolition derby, mini power wheel derby, kids performers, and the beer garden and midway.
