Local residents will be walking to raise awareness for Parkinson's Sunday.

The annual Sarnia-Lambton Walk for Parkinson's begins at 2 p.m. at Canatara Park from the Kinsmen Pavilion. Registration is at 1 p.m.

Parkinson’s is a slow, progressive neurodegenerative disorder. Primary symptoms include tremors, rigidity, slow movement, postural instability, and sleep disturbance.

All funds raised from the event will go towards providing vital services and programs, in addition to funding research and education programs that impact the over 10,000 people living with Parkinson’s across southwestern Ontario.
