Pedestrian hurt in collision with 'taxi vehicle'

A collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian sent one person to hospital Sunday morning.

Sarnia police responded, before 8 a.m., to the crash on Indian Road South, just north of Highway 40.

"A taxi vehicle collided with a pedestrian," police said in a release.

The pedestrian was taken to Bluewater Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic in the area was diverted while officers investigated the cause of the crash.

No charges have been reported at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
