The Town of Plympton-Wyoming's new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) has been promoted from within.
Adam Sobanski has been hired and started in his new position on Monday, September 11.
Sobanski was the town's Director of Public Works. He has over 20 years of municipal experience and spent the past 11 years in a management role.
“Over the last nine plus years with the Town of Plympton-Wyoming, I believe I have been able to build a great relationship with council, staff, and the community," Sobanski said in a news release. "I am looking forward to building on those relationships to ensure our town continues to retain its small-town charm while meeting the needs of our residents now and into the future."
Mayor Gary Atkinson said council is excited to have Sobanski step into the role.
"There are a lot of great initiatives on the horizon for the town, and council felt Mr. Sobanski was the right candidate to help move the town forward with his already strong, well-established connections," Atkinson said. "I, along with council, look forward to working with him to ensure we’re providing exemplary service to our residents. Mr. Sobanski is already well-respected by staff and the community, which will aid in a smooth transition."
The town said Sobanski recently obtained his Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Western University.
