Man accused of passing fake money at local stores

Sarnia police are looking for a man accused of using counterfeit money to purchase goods at businesses in the Lambton Mall and at other local establishments.

It's the Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.

Police said a fake $100 was used in one instance, on September 11.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black ball hat and black shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go online at www.p3tips.com.

Police said you don't have to identify yourself or testify in court.

A tip leading to an arrest could result in a cash reward.
