Fire lights up Sarnia sky Saturday

Firefighters worked through the night Saturday responding to a structure fire on Churchill Line.

Fire Prevention Officer Mike Otis said Sarnia Fire and Rescue were called to drive shed fire just before 8 p.m. near Telfer Road.

"In the end all stations had to get involved," said Otis. "Just the size of the fire, and they had to perform a water relay to get water to the fire. There was a lot of personnel there. Sarnia Fire and Rescue was on scene until about noon the next day."

Otis said a damage estimate was not immediately available.

"There were no injuries," he said. "It was a large drive shed so there was a lot of items, a lot of fire load."

The cause of the blaze is listed as undetermined.
