Charge laid in vehicle-pedestrian collision

A pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries when they were struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

Sarnia police said shortly before 3 p.m., a 38-year-old woman was walking her bike through the north crosswalk at Indian Road and Confederation Street.

Police allege a vehicle heading south on Indian Road was approaching a red light at the intersection, and struck the pedestrian while turning right onto Confederation.

The woman was transported to hospital for treatment by Lambton EMS.

A 25-year-old from Arkona is charged with careless driving.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
