Sunday assault sends one to hospital

Sarnia police are investigating an alleged assault that sent one person to hospital.

Police responded to a residence on Kathleen Avenue near Walnut Avenue South at around 8 p.m. Sunday after a man called for an ambulance.

The investigation led officers to a home near Campbell Street and Martin Street, and residents may have noticed an increased police presence in both locations Sunday evening.

Police said one man was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been laid at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
