Four charged in firearms investigation

Sarnia police seized weapons and a quantity of illegal drugs in a bust late last week.

Just after 11 a.m. on Thursday November 2, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a Sarnia residence.

Police recovered a loaded .22-caliber revolver style handgun as well as a .22 caliber rifle and a taser. Officers also seized an expandable baton and a butterfly style knife.

Police said over 12.8 grams of cocaine was seized from the home as well as 1.83 grams of crack cocaine and 1.09 grams of methamphetamine.

Three Sarnia residents, ranging from 33 to 39-years-old, and a 45-year-old from Port Lambton face several firearm and weapon related charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
