Libraries to send letters to Santa

Lambton County Library is offering help as children get ready to send handwritten letters to Santa Claus this holiday season.

All 24 library locations will have letter templates and pre-addressed envelopes available during regular hours until December 1.

Libraries will also mail the letters directly to the North Pole to ensure their delivery before Christmas.

“Letter writing is an essential skill that can improve communication, social skills and handwriting,” said Public Services Coordinator of Youth Programs and Outreach Vanitia Campbell. “Writing a letter to Santa teaches children how to structure their writing in a meaningful way.”

Letters submitted by December 1 will receive a response from Santa, who is able to respond in more than 35 languages.

Hours of operation for each branch can be found on Lambton County Library's website.
