Owen Sound 'Attack' blank Sarnia Sting 4-0

The Sarnia Sting were shutout by the Owen Sound Attack 4-0 Friday night at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

The loss dropped the Sting (9-12-0-0) to ninth place in the OHL’s Western Conference, just two points behind the Attack (9-9-2-0) and Firebirds.

It's the team's fourth straight loss.

Despite showing some pushback against the Attack than in the last few losses, the Sting fell short Friday night.

“When you’re kind of spinning in the mud like we are right now, you’ve got to dig deeper and pull together as a group,” said Head Coach Alan Letang.“Instead of maybe one or two passengers on the bus, we need all 20 guys playing with that kind of emotion and that kind of passion."

Former NHLer Dustin Jeffrey debuted as an assistant coach for the Sting.

The Sarnia Sting will try to end their losing streak Sunday when the Flint Firebirds visit Sarnia for a 2:05 p.m. faceoff.

You can catch the game live on 103.9FM/1070AM CHOK.
