UPDATE: Highway 402 reopens after crash near Airport Rd.

A multi-vehicle crash snarled traffic on Highway 402 on Monday afternoon.

West Region OPP said emergency crews responded to the westbound lanes, near Airport Road, at around 1 p.m.

At the time, police expected the highway to be closed in that area "for some time" for cleanup and vehicle removal.

They said the crash appeared to have involved two transport trucks and a passenger vehicle.

The roadway reopened to traffic before 2:30 p.m.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported and it's not known whether charges will be laid.
