Sarnia gives back through Cops for Cans

The Sarnia community has once again shown it is trying to help those who are less fortunate.

The 11th annual Cops for Cans donation event was held in support of the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

Just over 11,580 pounds of food were collected on Saturday, November 18 at four grocery stores.

The amount raised has been the lowest in the last few years.

Last year the community raised a record 23,497 pounds of food.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
