Winter Fun Day marks 10 years

The 10th annual Winter Fun Day, organized by Noelle's Gift to Children, will be held on Saturday with an array of free activities for kids to enjoy.

The event will be held from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. at St. Matthew's School, located at 720 Elm Ave. in Sarnia.

Co-organizer Michele Stokley said the event is meant to give back to the community following years of support.

"We're happy to do it again and each year we try to add a new little something, and the kids love it," said Stokley.

This year, Stokley said they've added a bigger movie screen and additional giveaways. The event will also include craft tables, horse and wagon rides, pizza, snacks, and hot chocolate.

Stokley said Santa will also be there.

"Kids go home with pictures in frames, some use [them] as Christmas gifts," she said.

The event typically sees 450 to 500 attendees throughout the day.

Pre-registration is not required, families can simply drop by during the event.
