Santa makes several stops across Lambton this weekend

Santa Claus has a few engagements across Lambton County on Saturday.

His first stop is at the Celebration of Lights at Sarnia's Centennial Park. The free event begins at 5 p.m. including a Christmas Carol Concert, fireworks and horse drawn wagon rides. The lights will go on every evening until after the holidays.

Santa then makes a trip to Corunna for the Santa Claus Parade which begins at 6:30 p.m. from Chris' No Frills on Lyndoch Street, then north to Beckwith Street, followed by hot chocolate, treats and photos with Santa at the clock tower.

You might spot him at the Light Up Grand Bend Holiday Market from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Willies Beach Bar before the parade at 6:30 p.m.

Then at 7 p.m., the big guy has an appearance scheduled at the Forest Santa Claus Parade and at the Kineto Theatre.

Parades in Sarnia, Petrolia and Thedford are set for Saturday, December 2.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
