Noelle's Gift to host Winter Wonderland gala in January

A change of venue means more people can attend Noelle's Gift To Children's black tie gala in January.

Winter Wonderland is being held at the Four Points Conference Centre on Venetian Boulevard (formerly known as the Sunbridge Hotel and Conference Centre) January 27.

Nicole Paquette said they're looking to sell 360 tickets, compared to around 300 at the last event.

"It's one of my favourite events to plan," Paquette said. "It is a night to get dressed up. This year we have premium tickets, which includes a pre-party, and we have a band booked for that day. The main event, we will have live auctions, silent auctions, and the live band Wine Vinyl. They have been at our previous events and they have the dance floor packed."

Paquette said it's really a wonderful event.

"It also includes a full four course meal. It's just a fun night to get dressed up and either go with your partner, or girls night out, or friends," she said.

After all costs and expenses are deducted, Paquette said they usually raise $80,000, making it their largest fundraiser.

"We're grateful for the ongoing support of our community. We're being utilized more than ever before with inflation and thanks to everybody and their support we're able to continue to make sure that the students in our community continue to have the resources they need to grow up great," Paquette said.

Noelle’s Gift was established in 2013 in memory of Noelle Paquette, a St. Clair Catholic District School Board kindergarten teacher.

Funds raised support nutrition programs and basic needs for students in both Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent.
