Winter parking restrictions start Friday

Overnight parking in Sarnia comes to an end this week.

Restrictions for vehicles on residential streets officially take effect on Friday, December 1.

Vehicles will not be permitted to park on the road between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

The only exception is on New Year's Eve, when motorists will be able to leave their vehicles parked on the road for the night without getting a ticket.

The restrictions, which will remain in effect until March 31, 2024, are to allow for snow removal operations during the winter months.
