Charges laid following Confederation Street crash

Sarnia police say one driver was taken to hospital with unknown injuries following a dramatic crash on Confederation Street Thursday night.

Officers responded to the area near Trudeau Drive at around 4:45 p.m.

Police said two vehicles collided, sending one of them through a fence and into a residential backyard.

Police said one of the drivers was identified to be at fault for the collision and was charged accordingly.

A portion of Confederation Street was closed and traffic was detoured after the crash while crews cleared the scene.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
