UPDATE: Kimball Road reopens after Wednesday fire

No injuries have been reported after a fire broke out at a single-storey dwelling in St. Clair Township on Wednesday.

Fire Chief Richard Boyes said crews were called to the area of Kimball Road and Lasalle Line shortly before 12 p.m.

The fire was extinguished shortly after.

Kimball Road was temporarily closed between Lasalle Line and Plank Road. Three stations cleared the scene just after 2 p.m.

Boyes said the cause appears to be electrical. He said the fire was contained to the ceiling in the dining room area.
