Early morning fire sends three to hospital

Three people were taken to hospital in an early morning fire Wednesday.

Sarnia Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire at a two-storey home on Blackwell Road near Telfer Road shortly before 6 a.m.

Fire Prevention Officer John Milne said two occupants made it out of the home safely, and one was rescued by responding firefighters. All three were transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

He said the fire was contained to the basement of the home, however there was smoke damage throughout.
