The City of Sarnia is welcoming families to participate in free open skate sessions at Progressive Auto Sales Arena during the holiday season.
The holiday open skate schedule kicks off Wednesday afternoon from 2:15 p.m. until 3:15 p.m.
Guests can park at the arena, off of London Road. However, vehicles need to be registered online to avoid receiving a ticket.
Open skates will also be held on Thursday from 8:15 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. and on Friday between 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. or 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
After New Year's, two more open skate sessions will be held. Families can skate for free on January 3 between 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., and on January 4 from 8:15 a.m. until 9:15 a.m.
Although the open skate is open to those of all ages, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The city doesn't provide skates or assisting devices.
