Fatal fire in Plympton-Wyoming under investigation

Lambton OPP are investigating a fatal fire in Plympton-Wyoming.

Just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, the Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department, Lambton OPP and Lambton EMS responded to a home on London Line for a report of an unresponsive person.

A 74-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police said it was determined the home had recently sustained a fire.

The Lambton OPP Crime Unit along with the Forensics Identification Services (FIS), the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office and the Office of the Chief Coroner continue to investigate.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
