New doctor to join Arkona clinic in the fall

New patients are being accepted as of Monday, July 17 as a new physician prepares to join the team at the Arkona Medical Clinic.

Dr. Farahnaz Farzadfar marks the 44th family physician recruited to Lambton County by the Blue Coast Primary Care--Recruitment and Retention group.

She had been practicing just outside of Lambton Shores for five years and had considered practicing in the area for some time.

“We are so pleased to welcome Dr. Farzadfar to Arkona," said Recruitment Coordinator Carly Cox in a news release. "She will be an incredible asset to the community and has already won the hearts of some Lambton Shores locals!”

The Arkona Lions Club also played a role in attracting the family doctor to the area and to the clinic which the club owns.

“Community support is an incredibly important piece to the recruitment and retention of a physician and the Arkona Lions Club are exemplary examples of that!” said Cox.

Dr. Farzadfar will begin practicing in mid-September.

Those who wish to become a patient are advised to contact the Arkona Medical Clinic by phone at 519-828-3821 or email arkonamedical.clinic@gmail.com.
