The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) says its office at 210 Lochiel Street in Sarnia closed unexpectedly on Thursday due to a building concern.
Staff are reaching out to clients to reschedule in-person appointments, and Mental Health First Response Services remain available by calling 1-800-307-4319. The Sarnia Lambton MobileCare clinic will be available from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Overflow Shelter at the former Laurel Lea St. Matthews Church.
CMHA offices in Wallaceburg and Chatham are still open.
However, due to the subsequent (unrelated) power outage in Sarnia, the Sarnia Lambton Youth Wellness Hub was also closed for the remainder of the day.
Bluewater Power initially reported an outage shortly after 10:30 a.m. which affected about 1,900 customers.
Just before 11:30 a.m., power was restored for some but the remaining 432 customers on Front Street North and Christina Street North had their service restored just before 1 p.m.
The utility company said the power outage was caused by equipment failure.
